It depends. If it wasn’t your fault and you didn’t go through your insurer it shouldn’t make a difference to your premium or renewal. If it wasn’t your fault and you do inform your insurer it may affect it negatively. If you were at fault then it will have to go through your insurance company, you can lose your no claims bonus and it will likely impact any renewal.
It’s impossible to provide one price because ultimately it will depend on the extent of the damage and the complexity of repairs required.
